About Me
I grew up watching my parents struggle with pest infestations that damaged our home and threatened our pets. That early frustration turned into a long-running interest in entomology and pest control — and eventually into a career.
After graduating from university in 2006, I shifted from theory to practice. Over the past 19+ years, I have worked with a wide range of infestations, including subterranean and drywood termites, house mice and deer mice, carpenter ants, German and American cockroaches, fleas, bed bugs, and seasonal invaders like boxelder bugs. I have applied liquid termiticides, set up bait station perimeters, treated wood with borate solutions, and dealt with infestations in homes ranging from small apartments to large multi-story properties.
My approach has always been the same: identify the pest correctly, choose the least toxic effective treatment, and prevent re-infestation by addressing the root cause. That same approach drives every guide on this site.

I founded PestsGuide.com in 2018 to share what I had learned with American homeowners directly.
